Amy Wardynski - 5th Grade

What is your background?
I hold a Bachelors in Elementary Education K-6 from Southern Illinois University. I have been teaching for 20 years; 15 at Ave Maria Catholic School. I am a Colorado State Licensed teacher.

Where are you from?
I grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois near the KY border called Benton.

Tell us about your family?
My husband and I have been married for 28 years. We have three children, all of whom attended Ave Maria from Pre-school through 8th grade. We have lived in Parker for 25 years and have been members of Ave Maria Parish for 25 years.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy working in the yard, taking walks and trying to keep up with three 18+ kids and their adventures.

What is your favorite part of school day?
My favorite part of the day is when I walk into my room in the morning and see all of my students happy and I get to say “Good Morning Everybody” and they reply with smiles “Good Morning Mrs. Wardynski”.

Why do you choose to teach at Ave Maria?
I chose to teach at Ave Maria for a few reasons. First it is a Catholic School with a very strong academic curriculum. Second it is the school where my children attended.

What do you love most about your job?
Outside of teaching an amazing group of children, I get the blessing of working with the most loving, energetic staff.  We collaborate and push each other daily to be our best self.  We truly are a family.
