Our Catholic Faith
“From the first moment that a student sets foot in a Catholic school, he or she ought to have the impression of entering a new environment, one illumined by the light of faith and having its own unique characteristics . . . an environment permeated with the Gospel spirit of love and freedom.”
Religious Dimension of Education in a Catholic School
The Congregation for Catholic Education, Rome, 1988.
The Faith Committee is a group of teachers that assist in planning weekly Masses and religious ceremonies for our school community. General questions may be directed to Lisa Newman.
Parents, friends, and family members are welcome to join the students at Ave Maria for the school Mass. It is held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9:00 a.m. with varying grade levels attending. There is also an all school Mass at least once a month landing on a Friday or a Holy Day of Obligation.
Although parents are ultimately responsible for their child’s preparation, there is instruction in their classroom and the parish partners with parents to complete the sacrament requirements.
