What is your background?
I hold a BA in English with a Concentration in Elementary Education, from Gonzaga University and a Masters in Organizations and Leadership from the University of San Francisco. I am a Colorado State Licensed teacher.
Tell us about your family?
My husband, two boys (Matthew 5 years old and Lucas 3 years old) and I moved from San Francisco to Colorado in the summer of 2017. We enjoy living in Colorado. Both Matthew and Lucas attend Ave Maria.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spending time with family and friends, cooking/baking, hike, and spending time at the beach!
What is something people may not know about you?
I was a photographer and Editor-in-chief of our Annual in college. I published two award winning annuals.
What is your favorite part of your school day?
The beginning of each school day as students enter the classroom smiling and excited to learn.
What do you love about teaching fourth grade?
I love teaching reading. I especially love learning about my students through their connections to the various characters, settings, and experiences.
What are you passionate about?
Helping students achieve their personal best. To do this I discuss the 5 Rs of Lifelong Learning: Readiness, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Resilience, and Reflectiveness.
What do you love most about teaching your students?
That I learn just as much from them as they do from me.
