Covid Success Plan
Ave Maria Catholic School had an incredibly successful 2020-2021 school year. Our Principal along with parish leadership spent the summer of 2020 creating contingency plans to ensure a safe return to school in August 2020. With input from our full time nurse, teachers, community members, parents, Tri-County Health and CDC guidelines, Ave Maria opened for in-person classes on August 12, 2020 and remained open for the entire year without having to close.
Our health and safety policies were successful. We are proud to say our school stands alone in having provided an environment in which students and staff were kept safe, healthy and inside the classroom. We are committed to the development of the whole person and it shows.
We are excited to share with you our Covid Success Plan for the 2021-2022 school year!
Based on current health guidelines and mandates:
If conditions change or the state issues further directives, we will review, analyze, and respond accordingly.

Based on current health guidelines and mandates:
- Continued access to Full Time, on-site nurse for questions and/or concerns.
- Individuals may make a personal determination regarding whether or not to wear a mask when entering the Ave Maria Catholic School facility.
- Continued increase of cleaning protocols, encourage good hand hygiene, disinfect high touch points on a regular basis, and maintain strong ventilation through our air purification systems installed to our central air condition units at the onset of last year.
- We are looking forward to the return to “pre-COVID” traditions as much as possible including in-person weekly Mass for all age levels, in-person Back to School picnic, the return to the lunchroom for lunchtime, and welcoming parents and visitors back into our school during the school day.
If conditions change or the state issues further directives, we will review, analyze, and respond accordingly.
