What is something people may not know about you?
My husband and I lived on the very Northwest tip of the contiguous US for a year and a half on the Makah Indian Reservation, a beautiful place!
What is your favorite part of your school day?
Mornings when the students are fresh and any small group or 1:1 time.
Why do you choose to teach at Ave Maria?
My daughters attended Ave Maria and I know the quality education they received here. The staff is second to none, it is such an honor to work with all of them.
What do you love about teaching?
I just love that “aha” moment when a student grasps something they were struggling with, and watching their growth over the year. It is really an honor to watch all of the students learn and grow.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about teaching the whole student, not just the academics, but how to be the best version of themselves, even at 5 and 6 years old; and to nurture the beautiful spirit that lies within each of them.
What do you love most about teaching?
I LOVE teaching Kindergarten. They are honest, hardworking, loving, forgiving and truly live in the moment! It is really a joyful thing. I love that I have the honor of being with young people who inspire me every day! I am very blessed by the students and their families.
What do students get at Ave Maria that they won’t get somewhere else?
I think the community at Ave Maria cannot be beat. It is a beautiful, living symbol of the body of Christ.
