What is your background?
I have been teaching at Ave Maria since 2009. I have had a few different roles at Ave Maria, starting out as a Preschool teacher for seven years, PE teacher for about three years, and now I am teaching 3rd grade and loving it. I am a Colorado State Licensed teacher.
Where are you from?
I was born in San Diego, California, and lived there until I was four years old. My family moved us to Colorado, and I have lived here ever since.
Tell us about your family?
I have three daughters, and they all have attended Ave Maria since preschool. My oldest daughter just graduated high school and is off to college, my second daughter will be a junior in high school, and my youngest will be finishing her final 8th grade year at Ave Maria.
What students get at Ave Maria that they wouldn’t get anywhere else?
I believe the students at Ave Maria get a great, all-around education. The community is friendly and welcoming, the teachers and administration give their all to the students and their families. The curriculum at Ave Maria provides knowledge for the students to be successful.
What do you love about Ave Maria?
I love working at Ave Maria because I love the staff I work with, I love the students and their families that attend Ave Maria, and most importantly because I love to see the students become successful in their educational and spiritual growth. Teaching students in 3rd grade is a blessing, and I truly enjoy working with students and helping them grow to their full potential.
What are your hobbies?
Playing or watching sports; especially Volleyball!
