Activities & Clubs
Math Club is designed for middle school students who are passionate about their math skills. These students practice math skills and work through problems during their meetings in order to compete as a team or individually in MathCounts competitions throughout the Denver area.
Spelling Club is comprised of students in 4th-8th grade. During weekly meetings, students prepare to compete in both the school and Archdiocesan spelling bees. Student Council serves as community service project leaders and representatives of the student body. Elected members include 8th graders that act as co-presidents, secretary, treasurer, and class representatives, 7th grade class representatives, and 6th grade class representatives. Some of the responsibilities of Student Council include organizing monthly service projects, hosting school socials and dances, and offering tours during Open Houses. National Junior Honor Society “is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929.” Rachel’s Challenge “is a national non-profit organization dedicated to creating safe, connected school environments where learning and teaching are maximized. Based on the life and writing of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine tragedy in 1999, Rachel’s Challenge provides a continual improvement process for schools designed to awaken the learner in every child. We motivate and equip students to start and sustain a chain reaction of kindness and compassion that transforms schools and communities.” |
