Library
The Ave Maria Catholic School library, a gathering space for all in our community, includes nearly 15,000 books, magazines and DVDs. The collection supports our preschool through 8th grade curricula and all members of the school community have access to the materials. Library staff and students borrow materials using Atriuum, our library automation system. During their library classes, students learn how to conduct searches, checkout materials, and shelve books using Atriuum. Parent volunteers assist in the operation of the Ave Maria Catholic School library. Annual book fairs run by parents help provide funds to regularly update the library collection.
The Scholastic Reading Counts program is one of the reading assessment tools used by Ave Maria Catholic School. The program assists students and teachers in determining student reading level. Students at Ave Maria Catholic School have access to the more than 58,000 quizzes in the Reading Counts inventory, using computers and Chromebooks throughout the school. Scholastic Reading Counts staff and Ave Maria teachers add quizzes monthly. |
