Angels Among Us - How to Get Involved

How can my family get involved?
Thank you for your interest in helping reach our Angels Among Us  fundraising goal. We would love to have you involved!

If you are someone with time on your hands…
  • Join the Angels Among Us Committee: This event requires many hands to make it fun and impactful for our school. We’d love for you to join us. Please reach out to Annette Alvarez and/or Heather Anderson  at galas@avemaria.school for how you can help! There are big tasks, small tasks and everything in between depending on the time you have available!
  • Help solicit silent auction items: This can either be done by reaching out to business owners you know, or venturing out and visiting local businesses asking them to consider donating an item, gift card, package, etc to our silent auction. Businesses are much more likely to fulfill a donation request when coming from a family member, friend, or loyal patron! See ideas below! **Please ensure all donations are submitted by Monday, October 30th as the committee needs time to input all items into our auction website before the auction goes live. Please contact Annette at Annette.alvarez@comcast.net  with any questions or to get involved with the Silent Auction.


If you are crafty…
  • Help make class projects! We want to have class projects for every section in every grade. Parents love having the projects their kids have been involved in to either keep or gift, so this always brings great revenue. We need someone like you to help! If you are interested in helping make class projects, please contact Heather at heathernwimberly28@msn.com. ​
 If you are a well connected person…
  • We need you to reach out to your contacts to help get items for our Live Auction! Vacation homes or packages, unique experiences, big ticket items and priceless experiences are all crowd favorites! Please contact Annette at Annette.alvarez@comcast.net. 
For everyone…
  • Ave Community: Reach out to parishioners, alumni, grandparents, aunts and uncles, best friends or anyone in your circle who understands the mission of our school and ask them to make a donation. This is an opportunity for them to make a monetary donation whether big or small, that is close to their hearts.
  • Corporate Matching: Do you work for a Matchmaker? Many companies will match charitable donations made by their employees, making your donated dollars go even further toward helping Ave reach our fundraising goals! Ave Maria Catholic School is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations to our fundraiser are tax-deductible for both you and your employer. Be creative and don’t forget to get the kids involved!  Their warm smiles and genuine character  will smooth out your soliciting efforts and they will enjoy having the opportunity to be included in ways to help their beloved school!
